Career and Education Advising from CAEL provides your company with valuable benefits such as:

• Learning linked to company goals: Employees who are aware of opportunities for growth within the company are more likely to pursue education and training linked to business goals.
• Increased course completion: Our studies show that employees who attend at least one advising session drop out of courses less often than employees who receive no advising whatsoever.
• Reduced education program costs: Better academic choices by employees means lower drop rates and more productive educational activities, with potentially reduced time to achieve certificates or degrees. On average, CAEL clients using career and education advising saved nearly $1,200 per employee on tuition, books and fees.

How CAEL Career and Education Advising Works:

1. CAEL works with the company to communicate the availability of career
   and education advising, either through group meetings, payroll flyers
   or career fairs.
2. Through on-site meetings, one-on-one phone calls or via the internet, employees discuss their interests and goals with one of nearly 250 professional CAEL career and education advisors located nationwide.
3. Advisors then work with employees to develop career or educational plans
   to achieve their goals, administer skill or interest assessments, and/or assist employees to document their prior learning for possible college credit.
4. CAEL professional advisors can then conduct follow-up meetings as necessary to ensure employees stay on track with their outlined goals.

CAEL career and education advising works best when paired with an existing company tuition assistance or training program by either reducing overall costs or increasing participation in the program. Tuition assistance funds, such as those managed for the company through CAEL's Tuition Assistance Management Service (TAMS), can be used to pay for career and education advising.
