Aaron Culbertson

Senior Vice President, Finance and Administration

Aaron Culbertson joined CAEL in 2024 as senior vice president of finance and administration, where he oversees all accounting and finance activities as well as organizational operations in his role on CAEL’s executive leadership team. Culbertson is an accomplished finance leader with expertise in driving growth and operational efficiency across multiple organizations as well as experience in direct investment and both buy- and sell-side transactions.

Prior to joining CAEL, Culbertson supported the organization as a member of Strada Education Foundation and oversaw the financial operation of CAEL which saw significant financial improvement in his first year leading this function. He also supported other affiliate organizations and oversaw financial system implementation at Strada. Earlier in his career, Culbertson held financial roles at Pearson Education including leading the North America deal desk team, contributing to innovative pricing models and partnerships in the higher education space, and ushering the transition to online courseware and digital content in higher education. With a robust background in financial modeling, reporting, and strategic partnerships, Culbertson has consistently driven impactful outcomes across diverse sectors.

Culbertson earned his MBA in finance from the University of Denver - Daniels College of Business and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He resides with his family in Denver, CO.
