Jay Beckett

Manager of Initiatives

Jay Beckett joined CAEL in December 2024 as manager of initiatives with a focus on managing projects that focus on workforce and economic development initiatives as well as community development and training. Beckett offers a wealth of experience and a strong track record in program management and evaluation. Most recently, they served as the Program Coordinator at Propel America, successfully managing projects, ensuring on-time completion, and using data-driven insights to continuously improve program outcomes. Prior to that, Jay was a Program Coordinator at StepUp Durham in Durham, NC, where they led community outreach efforts, facilitated focus groups for justice-involved individuals, and spearheaded program initiatives.

A skilled program manager within nonprofit organizations, Beckett holds a certification in nonprofit management from Duke University. Beckett resides in Raleigh, North Carolina.
