Our Team

The CAEL team draws great strength from its varied set of backgrounds and skills. But we hold one very important quality in common: dedicated expertise in forging the connections between learning and work that adult learnersand their communitiesdepend on for social mobility and economic equity.

Jillian Jackson

Director of Solutions

Dr. Jillian Jackson joined CAEL as director of solutions in December, 2024. Jackson manages CAEL’s Credit Predictor Pro clients, focusing on business development, implementation, and regular client support. She also offers expertise in academic affairs, student affairs, academic advising, and leadership.

Most recently, Jackson was the director of digital teaching and learning at Shaw University, where she designed and led workshops on instructional design, educational technology, and Learning Management Systems. She brings significant technical experience in developing digital learning materials and has led help sessions for both students and faculty across higher education. Prior to that, Jackson was a second and third grade teacher, with a special focus on diverse learners. A licensed professional educator in North Carolina, Jackson is certified in teaching online, applying the QR rubric, ethics for researchers, social and behavioral research, and enterprise design thinking.

Jackson completed a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and earned her master’s degree in school administration, elementary and middle school administration/principalship from Appalachian State University. She completed her Doctor of Educational Leadership with a Focus in Higher Education from Fayetteville State University, where she researched postsecondary enrollment, retention, and graduation rates among American Indians. Jackson resides in Raleigh, NC.
